Mission: Argos
Journalist: Jason Benstoner
Age: 13
Location: Course to 2060 Chiron

Today I'm writing from the Command Room on the solar sail ship Argos which is headed to 2060 Chiron, an asteroid, or comet, or something somewhere in the outer solar system. I'm not sure what it is so I'll call it a plomet.

Let me tell you a little about how we got here. We intended to go to Pluto, but someone broke in to the navigational system and rewrote the original course to Pluto and sent us to Chiron. My Dad thinks an ex-member of Astro Corp wanted to establish a fueling station on Chiron so he hijacked our ship. I don't know how it's all going to end, but for now the ship, the view, and the feel of being in space are really cool.

Today I hung out with Dr. Cadance in the greenhouse. We planted all sorts of things like South African tomatoes and Morning Glories.

Last month, we got great photons from the solar flares so now we're sailing pretty fast. The food here is okay... well actually disgusting. I am trying to learn how to eat it but until the greenhouse gives us some fresh food, the dried stuff is just is too gross. But we have so much dried food! We have everything from ice cream to broccoli. I just wish it tasted better.
