We included photos and graphics to enhance our website.
Page Banner
The page banner was made in
Adobe Photoshop 7 and Image ready.
At the top of each page, you'll see a photo in the upper
left corner. That's an actual photo of Chiron! It just looks like
a little dot,
but it's the fourth one down on the right. You can see more
images of Chiron at http://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/planetary/chiron/chiron_images.html.
We used the one from Mount Wilson.

We also created the lettering on our page banner using a font called
NASALIZATION that we downloaded for free off the Internet. We
put a soft glow around the letters.
Finally, we drew the lines to form the grid behind the lettering.
Home Page Background Photo
If you look closely behind the text on our homepage, you will see
a picture of a solar sails. Solar sails use the energy from the
sun to fly instead of rocket fuel. Even though solar sail has
never been used, we have the technology and someday they will
be.

We thought this was a pretty cool
photo of a comet. Since Chiron might be a comet, we downloaded
it from the NASA website and included it. |

This is a photo of an asteroid. Chiron was
first thought to be an asteroid - so we included this too.
We got it from the NASA website. |

This is a photo of aerogel - the coolest stuff we learned
about in our research. Aerogel is 99% air and looks like
smoke, but somehow it's very strong and a great insulation.
This photo shows a blowtorch under the areogel and crayons
on top. The crayons don't melt.
We got this photo from the NASA Stardust Mission site. http://stardust.jpl.nasa.gov/photo/
